Astro Camp for TISA

The Forest School Azerbaijan team organized an exciting and educational expedition for students of TISA (The International School of Azerbaijan) in Pirgulu village, Shamakhi region.

The expedition took place in the area of the Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory and was based on the Forest School educational approach, combining hands-on learning, exploration, and teamwork in nature.

During the expedition, students:

• Learned about planets and explored real meteorites
• Practiced survival and navigation skills using the stars
• Discovered local medicinal plants of the Shamakhi region
• Took part in an interactive astronomy session with young researchers of the observatory
• Strengthening team spirit through various group activities
