On June 21–22, Forest School Azerbaijan, in partnership with Fominov Consulting, organized an exciting Astro Camp at the Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory.
Over the course of two days, children explored the fascinating world of astronomy, gaining essential knowledge about space, planets, and stars. During their visit to the observatory, they learned about the history and modern development of this science in Azerbaijan and had the unique opportunity to observe the night sky through professional telescopes.
Beyond astronomy, participants also took part in a practical outdoor survival session led by Saleh Bakhshiyev, a wilderness survival expert and wildlife photographer. The session taught children how to safely interact with nature and sharpen their observation skills.
