Internship Program

What is Forest School?

Forest School is a worldwide and innovative outdoor education model.

This approach to education was first born as an idea in Scandinavian countries, and is now rapidly developing in Europe, Asia, North America and Australia.

Reports prove that in outdoors, children are more motivated to learn and show higher academic results:

  • 95% said outdoor makes lessons more enjoyable
  • 90% said they felt happier and healthier
  • 72% said they got on better with others
  • 85% saw a positive impact on behavior

Introduction to Forest School Azerbaijan

Dear intern, since you will be studying according to the special educational methodology of Forest School, we would like to provide a brief information about Forest School Azerbaijan (FSA).

Forest School Azerbaijan has been operating since 2017, having started its activities as an educational program “School Without Walls” (“Divarsız məktəb”).

Since 2020, this program operates as Forest School Azerbaijan. In accordance with the FSA educational approach, activities are carried out in the open air. Our entire program is organized into 6 areas that support the development of children – social, emotional, physical, psychological, intellectual and character development.

During our activity, we visited more than 11 regions of our country, and in total we covered about 4000 (children, youth, adults) participants.

We have implemented joint projects with the most prestigious organizations in the world, such as: United Nations Population Fund (UNFP), National Geographic, AIESEC and with several government agencies, as well as established relationships with specialized foreign institutions implementing the educational approach “Forest School” (Turkey , Singapore, Malaysia).

During the internship program you will have the opportunity to get to know our activities more closely and to take part in local and international projects.

Our Mission

Create opportunities for children and adolescents to develop as creatively minded individuals, by giving them a safe place to take risks, solve problems in unconventional ways, and practice fundamental life and survival skills in an outdoor environment.

Our Vision

To become an effective non-formal outdoor education provider in the South Caucasus region that supports physical, intellectual, social, emotional, psychological, and character development and reveals the inner abilities of children and adolescents.
