Forest School is a worldwide and innovative outdoor education model.
This approach to education was first born as an idea in Scandinavian countries, and is now rapidly developing in Europe, Asia, North America and Australia.
Reports prove that in outdoors, children are more motivated to learn and show higher academic results:
Dear intern, since you will be studying according to the special educational methodology of Forest School, we would like to provide a brief information about Forest School Azerbaijan (FSA).
Forest School Azerbaijan has been operating since 2017, having started its activities as an educational program “School Without Walls” (“Divarsız məktəb”).
Since 2020, this program operates as Forest School Azerbaijan. In accordance with the FSA educational approach, activities are carried out in the open air. Our entire program is organized into 6 areas that support the development of children – social, emotional, physical, psychological, intellectual and character development.
During our activity, we visited more than 11 regions of our country, and in total we covered about 4000 (children, youth, adults) participants.
We have implemented joint projects with the most prestigious organizations in the world, such as: United Nations Population Fund (UNFP), National Geographic, AIESEC and with several government agencies, as well as established relationships with specialized foreign institutions implementing the educational approach “Forest School” (Turkey , Singapore, Malaysia).
During the internship program you will have the opportunity to get to know our activities more closely and to take part in local and international projects.
The educational approach of the Forest School has already integrated to the education system of many countries. We hope that our country will also replenish this list in the near future. Therefore, our goal is to develop the educational approach of the Forest School through internship programs and contribute to eliminating the shortage of personnel in this field.
The internship program will depend on the chosen direction. The minimum internship period is 3 months. During this time you will be involved in both theoretical and practical training.
Together with us, you will learn how to work according to the Agile approach, master team work more deeply.
During the internship, first of all, you will be provided with theoretical training (you can view the training topics below). These trainings will not be associated solely with the educational approach of Forest School. In the course of your studies, you will acquire skills that will help you in your personal development and future career.
After training, each intern will be given the appropriate tasks. Depending on the specifics, these tasks can be individual or group. In each task, you will be assigned a mentor who, if necessary, will help you.
You will not be awarded points for completing tasks. The main evaluation criteria will be your commitment, desire and interest.
*Note
The above trainings are intended for all trainees.
In addition to these training sessions, once a week, each trainee should meet with their mentor online to monitor progress. If necessary, the mentor can provide additional training for the trainee.
