As part of another family nature hike organized by Forest School Azerbaijan, children and parents set off together on an unforgettable adventure to the village of Dashdatuk in the Lankaran region. The program aimed to foster a deeper connection with nature and create meaningful outdoor learning opportunities.
During the expedition, participants visited Lake Mahmudchala in the Bilasuvar district, as well as the surroundings of Lake Khanbulan in Hirkan National Park, where they observed migratory birds and explored the region’s rich biodiversity. Later, in Dashdatuk village, a 4–5 km hiking route was organized through rural areas and the Hyrcanian forests, allowing participants to observe various natural phenomena along the way.
As part of the program, participants explored nature together with members of the local community, becoming familiar with different plant species and living organisms. They were also introduced to the principles and sustainable living concept of “Meşə Eco Village,” located within the village.
This eco-friendly family hiking experience provided participants not only with physical activity but also with the opportunity to strengthen their connection with nature, learn together, and spend quality time as a family. Forest School Azerbaijan continues to promote nature-based learning and engage families in outdoor experiences through such initiatives.
