There are 3 Levels of trainings available for pedagogy-leaders in Forest School Azerbaijan:
Those who have completed the training are accredited and a volunteer or service contract is signed with them for a period of 1 year.
At the end of each year, monitoring is carried out, the leader is assessed and his accreditation is reviewed.
Level 1 Leaders Trainings are basic leadership trainings for those who are starting to work as a pedagogy-leader at Forest School Azerbaijan. Trainings are held twice a year. In this regard, ads are posted on our website, as well as in our social networks, indicating the relevant criteria and requirements. Candidates are involved in training on the basis of a 3-stage selection.
The trainings mainly include 3-day training modules. Modules include Forest School’s educational approach, areas of development, work with different age groups, work with parents, group formation, safety, first aid, curriculum development, methodology, organization of practical outdoor activities.
Pedagogy-leaders who complete the training are accredited and receive a Level 1 Certificate of Completion, as well as an International First Aid Certificate and may start working with age groups.
Level 2 trainings are intended for pedagogy-leaders who have completed level 1 trainings and are accredited as pedagogy-leaders in Forest School Azerbaijan. Level 2 trainings are organized once a year, and the main condition for admission is to work as a pedagogy-leader for at least 1 year.
Training consists of theoretical and practical learning modules. The training modules last 3 days, the training is conducted in the nature. This includes modules on living in the wild, risk management, short camps and their organization.
Pedagogy-leaders who have completed the training are accredited to receive a Level 2 certificate.
The 3rd level of training are intended for pedagogy-leaders who have passed the 2nd level of training and work as a pedagogy-leaders in Forest School Azerbaijan. To participate in the Level 3 trainings, the pedagogy-leaders must have at least 2 years of experience in applying the educational approaches of the Forest School.
The training consists of practical and theoretical study modules. The training modules include mentoring, emergency response, large-scale camp and event management, outdoor event programs and content, simulated medical care, safety precautions, and training in other specialized knowledge and skills.
Pedagogy-leaders who have completed the Level 3 training modules are accredited and participate in the activities of Forest School Azerbaijan as a mentor or facilitator in the management team.
