About the Project

In partnership with Fominov Consulting, and with professional specialists from the Azerbaijan Ornithological Society, Forest School Azerbaijan organized the Birdwatching Expedition – “Observe the Birds”.

During the expedition, schoolchildren and their parrents were provided with information about various animal and bird species living in the Shirvan National Park, and many were observed closely.

During the expedition, Elchin Sultanov, a professional specialist from the Azerbaijan Ornithological Society, provided detailed information to participants about the different types of birdwatching activities, rules for using binoculars, and the bird species living in the National Park.

Forest School Azerbaijan organizes expeditions related to observing migratory birds every year. The main goal of the expeditions is to increase the interest of young people in this activity and to introduce them to our wildlife up close.
