Forest School Azerbaijan held a fun and educational “Astro Camp” at the Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory.
In the camp, held jointly with the Astronomy Club, the children first got acquainted with the features of the planets, stars and the Moon, and then, during an excursion to the Astrophysical Observatory, they received extensive information about the research telescopes of the observatory.
During the camp, practical exercises with telescopes were also held, and the children had the opportunity to observe the moon and planets through these telescopes.
In addition, children took part in interactive meetings with scientists and learned about their experiences.
During the excursion to the village of Demirchi, children learned about the ancient history of the village, and also got to know the animals in the Safari Park, were they have been able to feed animals themselves.
