Astro Camp was held

Astro Camp, a captivating and educational experience designed to ignite curiosity and exploration, recently concluded in Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory. This extraordinary camp, organized in partnership with Fominov Consulting, provided children aged 8-14 with an unforgettable adventure.

Throughout the camp, participants engaged in a wide range of enriching activities. They received a comprehensive overview of astronomy, delving into the wonders of the universe and gaining a deeper understanding of planets and constellations. The young explorers expressed their creativity through crafting and painting workshops, where they brought planets and constellations to life with their unique artistic interpretations.

A highlight of the camp was a captivating workshop on archaeology, where the children participated on archaeological excavation simulation.

The campfire gatherings created a warm and welcoming atmosphere, fostering new friendships and camaraderie among the participants.

The children also had the opportunity to visit an astronomy museum, immersing themselves in the rich history and heritage of Azerbaijan science and astronomy.

After that, they gazed at the stars and planets through a state-of-the-art industry telescope, marveling at the wonders of the night sky.

One of the memorable moments of the camp was the visit to the museum of archaeology in Damirchi village. This educational excursion allowed the young adventurers to connect with history firsthand, gaining a deeper appreciation for the ancient civilizations that once thrived in the region.

Astro Camp was a transformative experience, igniting a passion for learning, exploration, and discovery among the young participants. Through this immersive journey, children expanded their knowledge of astronomy, honed their artistic skills, gained insights into archaeology, and developed a greater love for the natural world.
