Asmat graduated from the Faculty of History and Geography at the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University with a degree in “Teaching History and Geography” and continued her studies at the Geography Institute named after H. A. Aliyev under the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, pursuing a master’s degree in “Territorial Planning and Regional Development.” Currently, she is conducting research for her Ph.D. in the field of “Historical Geography, Political and Recreational Geography” at the same institute.
Asmat also works as a part-time lecturer at the Department of “Geography Teaching and Methodology” at Baku State University, where she shares her knowledge and experience with students. She is the author of over 10 scientific articles in geography and has participated in numerous local and international conferences.
In addition to her educational activities, Asmat has gained valuable experience working on various programs and projects as part of her collaboration with one of the world’s most prestigious organizations, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). Currently, she is the Education Programs Manager at Forest School Azerbaijan and also serves as a pedagogue-leader, working with young children and their parents. Asmat’s main goal is to foster a love for nature among children and youth, develop their social and emotional skills, and help raise a stronger generation for the future.
